Divorces can be costly, time consuming and stressful. A divorce involving one or more Neurodiverse children (or parent) has many additional considerations and complexities that need to be addressed. This solution based presentation will help you work with your legal and divorce team and guide you through the complexities to be more streamlined and effective, saving you legal fees and aggravation. Join us to obtain the best result for your family and move from Overwhelm to Success and transform your life.
Mary Ann Hughes is the proud mother of two sons on opposite ends of the Autism Spectrum. For over 20 years, she devoted her energies to help her sons be successful in school and life. After 21 years of marriage, she unexpectedly found herself, as one of the many parents of special needs children, facing divorce. Her focus was making sure her sons would be OK during and after the divorce, not only emotionally, but also considering all their needs in the short and long term. The emotionally and financially taxing two-year divorce process resulted in an excellent result for her family, which many regard as a benchmark in special needs divorce cases. Mary Ann earned her BBA and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and after her divorce completed the LoneStar LEND Leadership Education in Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disabilities fellowship program, and became a Certified Divorce Specialist, Certified Divorce Coach, Certified Special Needs Divorce Coach, Mediator and Parenting Coordinator.
