Get Your Brain in Gear:

The Mental and Social Sides of Productivity

with Ari Tuckman, PsyD

 Saturday, April 26, 2025, Virtual 9:00 – 11:15 am, Central

2 CEs for LPCs, LMFTs, Social Workers, Psychologists

ADHD can have frustrating and noticeable impacts on your ability to get things done. The obvious advice of using a to do list or alarm doesn’t really help (and even feels kind of insulting). What gets in the way between the intention and the action? In this strategy-loaded presentation, Dr. Ari Tuckman will discuss how to overcome various mental barriers to productivity, such as perfectionism, deadline stress, overwhelm, ambiguity, fake productivity, and the various ways that we let ourselves off the hook of doing what we don’t want to do. He will also discuss how to handle other people’s expectations and how to negotiate what gets done in a way that you can feel OK about.

After this presentation, attendees will be able to:

  • explain how ADHD impacts productivity

  • apply strategies to create a more resilient and effective mindset that supports productivity

  • negotiate with others in a way that balances integrity and generosity
